Monarchs

We had a wonderful time with our Monarch Butterflies. Thanks to a grant from the American Rescue Plan that gave us the ability to purchase raised garden beds to plant milkweed. This gave a place for the Monarchs to lay eggs. We also planted pollinator plants to feed the butterflies. We were able to retrieve the eggs from the milkweed. We have released 19 Monarchs this year 12 males and 7 females. This has been a true learning experience for both the library and the community. We have enjoyed every minute!
